Junior School

The Junior School curriculum aims to implant the ideals of a Jesuit Education - namely excellence and striving for mastery. The school emphasises the core elements of reading, writing and mathematics. Self confidence is fostered through classes in listening and speaking, talents so important for our young men and women of the future.

The curriculum is centred upon the student, teaching and underscoring the Christian values important in life. Activities which help the children learn how to learn are an integral part of the primary school programmes which have been modified and extended in accordance with the National Statements and Profiles.

The Junior School provides specialist teaching in a number of subject areas, each in a specialist facility. Among these are featured Art, Science, Information Technology and Music. A major Drama production is staged each year.

Class sizes are relatively small and the children are encouraged and expected to involve themselves in a range of co curricular activities, which complement a busy programme.
