Student Achievements

Throughout their years at Saint Ignatius' College, students are encouraged to learn, to study as hard as they can, to question, to think, to participate in sport, to play musical instruments, to read, to enjoy drama productions and to contribute to the life, not only of the College, but also the community in which it is based and which it serves.

Education of the whole person is what matters, because ultimately our students will determine their ability to understand who they are as individuals, how they relate to one another and how they see their place, not only in our society but also in the world.

The formation of a balanced and rounded person is an aim of Jesuit Education. Excellence as an ideal is integral to our philosophy, because any lesser attitude is unworthy of a human being made in the image and likeness of God. Each person is gifted, and these gifts are to be developed in order to achieve one’s own fulfillment and to be of proper service to others. Hence, from their very beginning in 1548, Jesuit schools have maintained a custom of according recognition to those who demonstrate accomplishments and leadership in the various fields of academic pursuits and co-curricular activities.

Why promote excellence and not then acknowledge it? To all our students who have performed well in a variety of fields, we congratulate you for your efforts across all areas of school life.
